The company was founded in 1973 under the name of Silva & Rodrigues, Lda. with only 27 employees and producing exclusively for the Portuguese market. In the eighties, it moved its headquarters to its current facilities and began to produce for the foreign market.
In 1999, changed its name to JOIA - Calçado, S.A., with Fernando Valdemar Rodrigues Lima as its administrator, and continued to develop the skills to remain at the forefront, celebrating, in February 2023, with approximately 150 employees, 50 years of activity.

EXPERIENCE

History has made JOIA a company with experience in the production of fashion footwear.
From the beginning, the company has developed skills to be at the forefront of national and international footwear producers. Helped by several customers with their different concepts, the company encouraged a path of constant innovation, resulting in knowledge and know-how.

EXPANSION

The company has always been present in the most important international trade fairs of the sector, either with private label products or with its own brand, distributing its articles in several international markets.
Although it started its activity producing only for the national market, the international market has always been JOIA's main goal and currently represents 90% of its turnover.

SUSTAINABILITY

JOIA wants to be a reference without compromising future generations. Therefore, we seek to satisfy our needs with sustainable, efficient options that reduce the impact of the industry. We implement environmental practices in our facilities: we produce 32% of the energy needed with solar panels, we treat waste water, we use chemical products without solvents or with lower levels, among others. Through our own brand, we favor national suppliers with environmental certifications (LWG, FSC, among others).

Once all the production aspects have been checked, our logistics department takes care of all the elements to ensure that orders reach our customers as requested.

Cloud Footwear is the brand created in 2012. From the first thoughts about design, a creative path was defined to respond to this mission: to create a collection of light and comfortable shoes, but oriented towards design and fashion.
